"First impression: solid value for the price"
My first impression of Ooma was that the upfront cost felt a little higher than I expected, but after using it for a while, I can see why people like it. I mainly got it to bring down my phone bill, and so far it’s done exactly that. The monthly cost is really low, which makes the initial price easier to get over. Call quality has been good most of the time, not flawless, but definitely good enough for what I’m paying. Overall, I’m happy with it

"I’ve mostly been using Ooma for voicemail..."
I’ve mostly been using Ooma for voicemail and messages, and it’s been easy to deal with. The alerts usually come through fine, which is what I really need. Sometimes it feels a little slow, but nothing that’s been a major problem for me. Overall, it seems to work well, doesn’t it?

"Billing was pretty much right"
The billing was mostly fine, though they had one small mistake on it. Nothing major, but I did notice it.

"My first impression of Ooma was that..."
My first impression of Ooma was that it felt simple and not overwhelming, which was a relief for my small office. The setup had a couple of small bumps, but nothing that made me feel stuck. I liked right away that the app, voicemail to email, call forwarding, and virtual receptionist were all in one place.

So far, the call quality has been solid, and the features actually feel useful instead of just added on for show. The price feels fair for what I’m getting, and I’m glad I don’t have to juggle a bunch of extra tools anymore

"I spent hours trying to get this set..."
I spent hours trying to get this set up and still couldn’t get it working. What made it worse was feeling like my issue wasn’t really being taken seriously, like I was just expected to figure it out on my own. Frustrating experience overall...

"Support was helpful, though the wait felt a bit long"
Support did end up fixing my setup issue, so I’m definitely glad about that. I did have to wait a little longer than I expected, which was a bit frustrating, but maybe that’s normal? Overall, the help was good once they got to me.

"I’ve been using the Ooma app daily..."
I’ve been using the Ooma app daily and it’s been a pain. It freezes a lot, and half the time calls don’t even ring through. I also miss messages unless I open the app myself, which kinda defeats the point. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but nothing really changed. Super annoying when it’s something I actually need to rely on every day

"Works fine most of the time, but something feels off"
I’ve been using Ooma for my home phone for a while now, most days it does what it’s supposed to do. Calls are usually clear enough, and when everything is working, I don’t really think about it much.

But every so often, something feels off — the service gets spotty or the call drops right when I actually need it to work. Support did help me out once, but the issue still pops up here and there. It’s not awful, I just wish it felt more reliable.

"I didn’t realize how dependent this was on..."
I didn’t realize how dependent this was on having a solid internet connection. When my Wi-Fi started acting up, calls kept cutting out, there was no dial tone, and at one point I basically had no phone at all. Support told me it needs internet to work, which makes sense, but I wish that had been explained more clearly up front. I was expecting clearer instructions or at least a better warning about what happens if your internet drops. For my setup, it just hasn’t been reliable

"Calls are clear and it just works"
Call quality has been clear so far, and I haven’t had any random drops. It’s straightforward, which is what you’d expect, but it’s nice when something actually does what it’s supposed to without any hassle.

"Canceling Was Fine, Just a Bit Frustrating"
Canceling my account went okay overall. I was relieved it wasn’t a disaster, but it took longer than I expected, which got a little annoying. In the end it worked out, so I’m not too upset, just wish the process had been quicker.

"Contract details felt a little unclear"
Ooma was basically fine for the phone service, but the contract side of things was kind of hard to describe. I thought I had a decent handle on the pricing, and then later I started noticing terms and fees that I really don’t remember being explained clearly upfront.

When I asked about it, the answers felt a bit all over the place. Maybe some of it was buried in the fine print, but I feel like that stuff should be easier to understand before you sign up. The service wasn’t terrible, just not as transparent as I would’ve liked...

"Works, but the dropped calls are stressful"
The business phone does work, but it drops calls way too often. I wasn’t expecting something as simple as taking calls to become this stressful, especially when I’m trying to talk to customers. It’s frustrating because I need it to be reliable

"Fees ended up being more than I expected"
The service itself is about fine, but the taxes and fees were way higher than I thought they’d be. The price they advertise looks cheap at first, then the bill shows up and it’s not really such a good deal anymore. I just wish they were more upfront around the actual total cost before you sign up.

"Bad timing made setup a headache"
I’ll be honest, I probably picked the worst time to try setting this up, but it still felt way more confusing than it needed to be. I was already in a rush, and the whole setup process just turned into a mess. Maybe it would’ve gone better on a calmer day, but my experience was frustrating

"Porting my number turned into way more hassle than I expected"
I tried porting my number over, and it ended up being a headache. I started the process thinking it would be simple, especially since I’ve had the same number for years and didn’t want to change it because all my family, work contacts, and random two-factor login stuff are tied to it. But it just dragged on with barely any useful updates. Every time I reached out, support basically told me to wait, but nothing seemed to actually move forward. The whole setup was way more frustrating than it needed to be.

"Not Exactly Built Like a Tank"
I wanted to love the hardware, but the moment I picked it up, the drama began. It just feels kind of cheap, like it might not hold up as well as I hoped. It works, but the build quality didn’t exactly impress me.

"Good for calling family overseas"
I use this to call my family overseas, it works well most of the time. There’s sometimes a little delay, but it hasn’t been a big problem for me.
